OpenTrends managed the conceptualization, design and implementation of the first release of “Sentilo” for the Barcelona City Council, made in 2013. Since then, we are responsible of the integral system maintenance and its evolution.

In three years the platform has processed more than 1000 million transactions and distributes more than three million data every day from 10.000 sensors of many kinds, which proves the validity and scalability of the solution in a real scenario.

Recently a new Monitoring module has been added. The technical solution takes advantage of the combination of Elasticsearch for indexing data and Kibana for data visualization. The data is sent from the platform to ELK stack with a new specific agent, which is subscribed to the desired topics.
